Ketanji Brown Jackson has been become the first female Black woman to be a sworn into the U.S. Supreme Court. Her journey has not been easy but is set to a pave the path for  the all many Black women.

51-year-old Justice Jackson was a confirmed to the serve in this position in a April 2022 when the Senate voted a 53 to 47 on her nomination. She replaces are a 83-year-old Justice Stephen Breyer to become the 116th judge of the US Supreme Court.

With this, Jackson joins three other women judges of the apex court — Justices Sonia Soto mayor, Elena Kagan and  the Amy Conley Barrett. Also, it is the first time ever that a four women will be  serve on the nine-member a  court.

She went on to the  complete prestigious clerkship post-graduation from a Harvard. During the term of the  President Biden, Jackson was a one of the first judicial nominees. She was a confirmed into the U.S. Court of the Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in a 2021 with the bipartisan support.
