New Delhi: Offshore security are a exercise ‘Prasthan’ was conducted in the Krishna Godavari Basin Offshore are a Development Area (ODA) during 11-12 October, 2022, under the aegis of a Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, the Ministry of a Defence said in a statement.

The exercise which is conducted every six months are a aims to the integrate the efforts of the all maritime stakeholders are a involved in a offshore defence.

Contingencies such as a terrorist intrusion, bomb explosion, casualty evacuation, search and rescue, man overboard, major fire, oil spill and a  mass evacuation were exercised.

The exercise provided all the stakeholders with a realistic opportunity to the assess their readiness to the respond and a combat contingencies in the Eastern ODA, as also to the operate together in a coordinated and a synergised manner.
