PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi is an activity of the Legislature of India where all ranchers will get a base pay of Rs 6,000 for each annum. The activity was declared by Piyush Goyal during India's Worldwide Association Financial plan on February 1, 2019. The plan will cost ₹ 75,000 crore every year and will be actualized from December 2018

 

The accompanying classes of beneificiaries of higher financial status will not be elligible for advantage under the plan.

Objectives of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

●The government-run programme aims to fulfill the following objectives:

●To provide compensation for the wage loss in terms of cash incentives so that the woman can take adequate rest before and after delivery of the first living child. It is a partial compensation which is a part of a plan to provide a total sum of Rs. 6,000 on an average to the woman. The remaining cash incentive (of Rs. 1,000) is provided under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) after institutional delivery.

●To improve health seeking behaviour amongst pregnant women and lactating mothers.

Targeted Beneficiaries of PMMVY

●All pregnant women and lactating mothers excluding the ones who are in regular employment with the Central/State Government or Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) or those who are in receipt of similar benefits under any law.

●All eligible pregnant women and lactating mothers who have their pregnancy on or after January 01, 2017 for the first child in the family.

●The date and stage of pregnancy for a beneficiary is counted with respect to her Last Menstrual Period (LMP) date as mentioned in the Mother and Child Protection (MCP) card.

How To Apply

A beneficiary can apply for the scheme only within 730 days from the date of her Last Menstrual Period (MP). The LMP registered in the MCP card will be treated as the Date of Pregnancy under the scheme.

With the progressive outlook of the Government towards the workers, and the desire to take measure for the uplift of the workers, the Government also consulted the 'STATE ADVISORY BOARD' to help the Government in formulating the labour policy.

Prior to adoption of The Bombay Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1953, The labour Welfare activities were conducted by the State government. But it was realised that Government's direct efforts for the cultural uplift of the working class cannot but be limited in scope and extent.

The duty of bringing light and cheers into the lives of the workers will be discharged on and extensive scale and in fuller measures by workers own organizations and by the employers and local bodies directly or through suitable agencies.

It is well known that genuine progress is eventually a matter of internal effort sustained by the peoples' qualities and their capacities for struggle and sacrifice and that any kind of State intervention and processes imposed by legislature can only be an aid but not a substitute for self help. The burden therefore also falls on falls on the employers as it is they who are most benefited by such measures.

The State Labour Advisory Board had therefore recommended the creation of the Labour Welfare Board for conducting labour welfare activities.

Bombay Labour Welfare Board was setup as per the Rule number 4 in The Bombay Labour Welfare Act 1953 in Bombay.

There is no other option like family for the healthy and balanced development of children.  However, due to some adverse circumstances, it is not possible for orphaned children to be brought up in their natural family, so alternatively they are brought up in institutions for their children.  According to the sociological point of view, the institution is the only last resort for the child.  Therefore, instead of keeping such destitute orphans in an institutional environment, keeping them in an alternative family and raising them in a natural environment can lead to their healthy and balanced development.

●Name of the scheme: - Plan of foster parents

Eligibility Criteria: - Under this scheme all orphan children aged 0 to 18 years living in Gujarat whose parents do not exist will be eligible to avail the benefits.  Children whose father has died and whose mother has remarried will have to produce a marriage certificate stating that the mother has remarried.

 Assistance rate: -

 A monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 / - (Rs. 3,000 per issue) will be paid to the foster parents or close relatives who take care of the orphans.

 Income limit:

 The annual income of the foster parents should be more than Rs. 5,000 in rural areas and more than Rs. 5,000 in urban areas.

 Terms of the plan

 Beneficiaries taken by foster parents for upbringing should be placed in Anganwadi for children aged 6 to 8 years and compulsory schooling should be imparted to children above 3 years of age.  Assistance will be stopped if the child's study is stopped.

 The certificate of the program officer of ICDS (Integrated Child Development Scheme) for the children going to Anganwadi and the certificate of the principal of the school for the children going to school have to be submitted by 15th July every year.

 A certified example of the death of the child's parents must be submitted.

 Assistance will be stopped if the child's mother is remarried and the child goes to live with the mother.

 A sample application form can be downloaded from the department's website https://sje.gujarat.gov.in/dsd or available free of cost from the nearest Children's Home / District Social Security Officer's Office / District Child Protection Officer's Office.  If the application is approved, the assistance will be available from the month of application.

 The implementation of this scheme is to be done by the Superintendent of Children's Homes at the district level.  In the district where the children's home is not functioning, the district child protection unit will be responsible for accepting the plan form and taking further action.  And the District Social Security Officer will be responsible for payment.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: Poor and marginalised farmers of the country are set to get Rs 6000 under the PM Kisan scheme of the Narendra Modi government. For this, the government has launched an official website at www.pmkisan.nic.in. The Rs 6000 help will be provided in three instalments of Rs 2000 each in the bank accounts of the eligible farmers.


PM Kisan Objective The scheme aims to augment the income of the Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs). It will supplement the financial needs of the SMFs in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income at the end of each crop cycle. The scheme will also help protect farmers from falling in the clutches of moneylenders for meeting such expenses and ensure their continuance in the farming activities.


PM Kisan cut-off date :  The PM Kisan scheme will be effective from 1-12-2018 for transfer of benefit to eligible beneficiaries. The cut-off date for determining the eligibility of beneficiaries has been kept as 01.02.2019.


PM Kisan: Who will benefit? The SMFs landholder farmer family is defined as “a family comprising of husband, wife and minor children who collectively own cultivable land up to 2 hectares as per land records of the concerned State/UT”.

PM Kisan: Who are eligible? As per the Operational Guidelines of the scheme, professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects registered with professional bodies have been excluded from the scheme. Former and present Mayors of municipal corporations, former and present chairpersons of district panchayats are also not eligible.

Among government employees, multi-tasking staff/Class IV/Group D employees can avail of the benefits.

The scheme for the interest subsidy is applicable for the good student who belongs to the economically weak class. The basic objective of interest subsidy is to provide financial support to the excellent students who cannot afford the cost of higher education. The scheme has been announced by the Gujarat Government to provide 100% interest subsidy. Let us see the conditions required to avail such interest subsidy.

➤The students passed 12th standard with 60% after 2012.
➤The students passed 12th standard before 2011 from GHSEB can also apply.
➤The students passed 10th standard and enrolled for some diploma and then took admission for graduation or post graduation and do not have the mark sheet of the 12th standard can apply in the bass of CGPA/CPI/ Percentage mentioning 60% or more in the mark sheet.
➤Family income of the student should not exceed 6 lakh.
➤Taken a loan for higher education from the scheduled banks.
➤The students took loan after 4th July 2017. The students who got the sanction of the loan before 4th July 2017 but withdrawn the loan after 4th July 2017 can also apply.
➤Eligible courses for the subsidy is wide open for the student. It can be for the graduation or post-graduation. It can also be for some diploma or any professional course.
➤The subsidy is for one year of the course and one more year. After this period interest payable on the remaining loan has to be borne by the student.
➤Disbursement will be made on yearly basis as per the details provided by the student in the registration form.

The appreciable gesture of the Gujarat Government for education

Education Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme announced by the Government of Gujarat is designed to help out the student who does not get the benefit of Mukhayamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana. The subsidy is applicable for loan amount to a maximum of ten lakh rupees. For the registration, the student needs to apply online on the official website for the scheme. The eligible students can apply online for the interest subsidy on KCG website http://www.kcg.gujarat.gov.in/. It can be mentioned here that in the 2017-18 Budget the Gujarat Government had allocated 500 lakh crore for the subsidy.

On clicking the application form for online Gujarat Interest Subsidy Scheme would appear. The student needs to fill up the eligibility details. This includes a percentage in 12th standard and year of passing with the stream. The annual income of the Guardian, Aadhar No, and personal email id.
After filling up the detail click next. Then the screen for “Registration Form for Interest Subsidy Scheme on Education Loan” will appear. After correctly filling all the personal details including name, father’s name, address, school, board and other relevant information submitted.

Rajasthan Annapurna Doodh Yojana – Milk to 62 Lakh Children (3 Days in a Week)

Milk is one of the foods that can be called a powerhouse of nutrients. Milk and the various products of milk are said to provide a lot of nutrients that would nurture the health of the kid. 

The center after coming into power in the year 2014 has made sure to ensure the various reforms to be introduced in various state departments. Including milk as a part of the diet of the school going kids has been one of the top priority on the agenda.

The Rajasthan Annapurna Doodh Yojana introduced by the government of Rajasthan has bought this initiative in the state. Shri Vasudev Devnani, School Education Minister mentioned that this scheme would drastically reduce the number of school dropouts. The happiness index of the school going kids is also expected to rise after the announcement of this scheme.

The school kids would be well nourished to study better. The schools of Rajasthan have already been revamped by the state. The government is taking all the necessary steps to ensure the progress of school going kids.

Rajasthan Government to provide milk to government school kids

Rajasthan government recently has announced milk to be included as a part of the diet for government school kids in Rajasthan. About 62 lakh children would be able to consume milk 3 days a week as a result of this scheme. Not just schools, but also the kids studying in madrassas would be able to consume milk regularly as a part of this scheme.

The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister of the state Vasundhra Raje. She believes that this scheme would form the basis of a happy and healthy future of Rajasthan. The CM also mentions that the parents of the kids work very hard to make sure the kids get all the vital nutrients needed for a healthy body and sound mind. This step would lessen the burden on the parents. The various steps were taken by the School Education Minister to make sure this initiative is being carried out in all the districts of the state.

The CM also made a point as to how the mothers would never compromise on the quality of milk provided to their kids, the milk cooperative societies would also make sure to provide the best quality milk. 

Steps planned to ensure the quality of milk

The following are the steps planned by this government to ensure the quality of milk provided to the students. 

Registered societies

The government has planned to procure milk only from registered cooperative societies. If the liquid form of milk is not available at all the times, then the powdered form of milk will be procured. This is indeed one of the best schemes as the surplus stocks of the skimmed milk powders can be obtained from the various milk federations both within and outside the state. This can be distributed to the school children.

The Animal Husbandry department is also happy with the announcement of this scheme as they would be able to generate more income due to the increase in the production due to demand. 

Quality assurance

The milk and the milk powders obtained from the sources are put through various testing procedures to check the quality.

The milk is checked thoroughly before it leaves the block of the society. The society makes sure to ensure that the quality of the milk is clean and good enough to stay without getting spoilt for a long time.

The schools have to check before supplying the milk to the kids at the school.

The headmaster of the school has to report to the District education officer about the supply of the milk via SMS. In case, the headmaster is not able to perform this task, the principal has to take charge. This is one of the important procedure as the District Education Officer has to upload the details in the Mid-day Meal scheme website. The responsibility of serving milk to the students has to be vested in the hands of those who work under the Mid-day Meal Scheme. The money will be paid to the cooperatives by the Mid-Day Meal authorities on a monthly basis.

The quality of milk will also reveal the amount of protein and calcium present in the milk.  

Timing is very important

The milk should be served well before the lunchtime. The students of classes 1-5 would get about 150 ml of milk three days a week. The students of classes 6-8 would get about 200 ml of milk three days a week.

Donors are needed

The milk procurement would be taken care of by the department themselves. But the other requirements like glass, drums for storing the milk, cooking gas and sugar are in demand always. Donors are welcomed. The quality of the donated items is again checked well before using them for distribution.

How did the government come up with this plan?

As already mentioned, the central government was very much keen on bringing about this initiative. This model has already been adopted in states like Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. It was a huge hit in all these states. The government wanted the other major states in India to adopt this scheme.

The government of Rajasthan came up with this initiative after extensive studies that were conducted on the school going kids of Rajasthan. It was revealed that the school kids lacked protein and calcium. Since milk is considered to be one of the best and cheap sources of protein, the government decided to bring about this change.

This scheme would cost about 20 crores to the government of Rajasthan annually.

The scheme was launched at the Government Model Senior Secondary School, Dahmi Kalan. The CM inaugurated the event and several other important ministers of the state were also present at the event.

This step is definitely one of the landmarks in the growth of development of the state of Rajasthan. The state has very well kept up to the notion of nurturing the future pillars of the nation.
